Sharing some of my favorite eats and treats...one day at a time.
Breakfast = Tea and cookies.
The tea was a Christmas gift and the cookies cost about 3 dollars. It doesn’t get any better than that!
Another meal made easy. Healthy choice fresh mixers (creamy tomato basil penne), cottage cheese, carrots and ranch dressing. Strawberry slim-fast to drink.
Overall cost: about $5.00
Fast food made EASY…and cheap!
This meal was created in less than ten minutes. All you have to do is run to the local deli and pick up a pre-made sandwich (I typically go for Walmart since the prices are relatively cheaper than anywhere else and the food is of good quality!).
I also added in a few spoonfuls of cottage cheese (small curd) and a handful of fresh black raspberries. Again, you can purchase both of these foods at Walmart or any other grocery store of choice!
Total price for this meal deal?
$5.35
(I purchased an 8 oz. container of cottage cheese and a fairly decent sized package of blackberries too, so I had plenty of left-overs after this!)
Thanks for stopping by. I would give you an extensive “about me” explanation but since I already have a personal blog, I’ll just tell you to go here instead. You can read all about me on that page ;)
Now, onto more important things…like food. I’m a college student so, let’s face it: my diet usually consists of fast food, microwavable meals and Ramen noodles. Anyone with a brain knows that the aforementioned meal plan is not ideal for any person, but when you’re in college it’s not uncommon to feel stuck with few options. Sometimes you’re in a dorm with no cooking appliances, other times your study schedule takes up most of your day leaving you with little-to-no time to cook and sometimes you’re just too lazy to cook. It happens to the best of us.
That being said, as an attempt to get away from that typical college student diet, I’ve decided that one of my new years resolutions is going to be to start cooking more healthy meals for myself and, additionally, trying to find “fast food” that isn’t so unhealthy. Therefore, in doing so, I will also be posting my favorite recipes/creations on here to share with the rest of the “woild”.
Please feel free to share your own recipes/suggestions, as I will be more than happy to give them a try!
Let the journey begin!
Infinite x’s and o’s,
Alisha.
